Pi Network Founders Announce Major Mainnet Launch Timeline and Key Updates
Pi Network, the first crypto-mining platform since its launch in March 2019, today announced an update many have been waiting for about its mainnet launch. More than a year of waiting, Pioneers now have new developments and a revised timeline to consider.
Open Network Updates
Pi Network Founders Chengdiao Fan and Nicolas Kokkalis recently published some awesome updates on both the KYC and mainnet migration processes via an official blog. As of now, more than 18 million Pioneers have completed their KYC, and 8 million have migrated their balances to the mainnet. That means that the network is now prepared to transition into an open network, aiming for a Q1 2025 launch.
The team has reported that the recent system upgrades have dramatically increased the speed of the KYC and migration processes. Some 200,000 Pioneers migrated last day, and more than 500,000 jumped in the past week. That speed will bring an open, stable network.
